Frequently Asked Questions
How do I check for grubs in bermuda?
Pull back a section of damaged turf. If it lifts like a rug with no root attachment, look for white C-shaped larvae in the soil. More than 5 grubs per square foot indicates a treatable infestation.
When should I apply grub preventer to bermuda?
Apply preventative grub control with chlorantraniliprole in late spring before adult beetles lay eggs. This timing ensures the product is in the soil before grubs hatch and begin feeding on roots.
What kills grubs that are already in my bermuda lawn?
Curative treatments with trichlorfon or carbaryl work on active grubs. Apply in late summer or early fall when grubs are small and feeding near the surface. Water in immediately after application.
